How to prepare for a stove installation
We always try our best to minimize mess when we are installing a wood burning or gas stove, but before we come, we suggest you might like to make a few sensible preparations:
-
Move any items of furniture that might get in the way.
-
Remove breakable objects or any items/ornaments that could get damaged.
-
Cover furniture and carpets with dustsheets.
-
Temporarily remove curtains, blinds, and rugs if they are near the fireplace.
-
Pop the kettle on.
-
Stripping and cleaning your stove to ensure it runs efficiently
-
Inspecting for wear and tear, and replacing any spare parts for you
-
Checking seals and flues in line with health and safety requirements
Servicing
Once your new stove is installed, it’s easy to forget about the important things, like servicing. But to make sure your stove is working efficiently and safely, and to ensure it complies with your warranty, it’s really important to book a service each year with a suitably trained engineer.
Our HETAS approved engineers provide an efficient, clean and thorough service.
